Hichki: Salman Khan steps in for Rani Mukerji on Ram Kapoor’s show

It seems like film promotions for Rani Mukerji’s Hichki are not going as smoothly as expected. The film marks her comeback after a long break for daughter, Adira. As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, she did not turn up on the sets of Ram Kapoor’s Comedy High School as she fell sick. This had put the entire crew in a lot of predicament but it was Salman Khan who saved the day. He was also unwell due to bad cold and fever but managed to pull through. Salman made a smashing entry on a cycle and danced on songs like Saajan Radio (Tubelight) and Dabangg title track. It also marked his reunion with his Tere Naam co-star Gopal Datt. The actor played Chandar in the film.

This was not all. Salman even promoted Rani’s Hichki on the sets by telling people to watch it. Isn’t this enough proof that he is the best friend to have in Bollywood? We had told you during Bigg Boss 11 how Salman Khan adjusted the timing so that Rani could wrap up early and go home to daughter Adira. On the show, Rani said she was interested in Salman’s kids and they had a great banter. They also danced on the hit song, Chandi Ki Daal Par from Hello Brother!
In Hichki, Rani plays the role of a teacher suffering from Tourette’s Syndrome. The film is now releasing on March 23. In a statement, producer Maneesh Sharma said, “The multiple screenings of ‘Hichki’ saw outstanding reactions. The audience in attendance have called it one of the best content driven and heartwarming movies to ever come out of YRF. So naturally, the reaction of the team is that does Hichki currently have the best release date to get an extended run in cinemas across India.” It is directed by Siddharth P Malhotra.
