Trisha Krishnan and Asin Thottumkal

Trisha Krishnan was born on 4th May 1983 in Chennai India for Krishnan and Uma Krishnan. She is an Indian film actress and model who mainly appears in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films. Her first movie was Jodi in 1999 whereby she played the supporting role. She won a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her first lead role in the 2002 film Mounam Pesiyadhe. She later rose to fame starring in the successful films such as Saamy (2003) and Ghilli (2004) in Tamil and Varsham (2004) in Telugu and she secured her first South Filmfare Best Actress Award. She made her Bollywood debut in 2010 in the film Khatta Meetha with Akshay Kumar. She studied in M.S.E.C College in Ramnad and later continue her studies at Sacred Heart Church Park School, Chennai. In school, she participated in several cultural activities, sports and school band. While studying in M.S.E.C College, she ventured into part-time modeling and participated in various beauty pageants. She converses fluently in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and English. As part of her modeling career, she appeared in many TV advertisements including Fanta, Tata Indicom and Vivel ITC.

Asin Thottumkal was born on 26th October 1985 in Kochi, Kerala. She is a well known Indian film actress, model and a stage performer. Starting her acting debut in Sathyan Anthikkad's Malayalam film Narendra Makan Jayakanthan Vaka (2001), Asin had her first commercial success with Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi in 2003 and won a Filmfare Best Telugu Actress Award for the film. After a number of films, she received her second South Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her critically acclaimed performance in her second Tamil film Ghajini (2005). She played the lead female roles in blockbusters such as the action comedy Varalaru (2006), the action thriller Pokkiri (2007) and the big budget production Dasavathaaram (2008). In late 2008, Asin made her d├ębut in Bollywood with Ghajini, the remake of its Tamil namesake, subsequently winning the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. She attended Naval Public School from L.K.G.(Pre.K) till 10th standard (grade). Then she attended St. Theresa's School in Kochi for her Plus Two. After that she attended St. Theresa's College for Women in Kochi, a college affiliated with MG University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. Her father Joseph Thottumkal originally from a Nasrani (Syro Malabar) family in Thodupuzha, managed several businesses before he decided to manage his daughter's acting career by accompanies her to all her foreign shoots. Her mother Seline Thottumkal, remains a surgeon who moved settlements from Cochin to Chennai and then to Mumbai to live with her daughter. Asin has quoted that her name means "pure and without blemish". She claims that the 'A' in her name is from Sanskrit meaning "without", and 'sin' from English".
